St John’s Reading Group meets on the first Thursday of the month at 8.00pm in the Church Coffee Lounge. At our monthly meetings we discuss the current book and any other books which we have read. It is a great opportunity for us bibliophiles
to come together and discuss the latest books and to look forward to future titles.

Our book titles this year have continued to be varied and we never seem to be at a loss to find books which we enjoy – crime and historical novels are always very popular.

Open to all.

Worship for All Communion Service

Our all-age service offering the opportunity for the whole family to worship together (Children stay in Church rather than going out for their separate activities).

Usually on the 3rd Sunday of the month unless it is replaced by a Parade Service with our children's uniformed organisations (Harvest Festival, Remembrance Sunday, Mothering Sunday, and St. George's Day).

The service is shorter (about 45 minutes) with a short address instead of a sermon and one Bible reading.

Princess Alice Hospice - Old Malden Bereavement Cafe

Old Malden Bereavement Café runs monthly drop-in sessions for anyone who has been bereaved. People are welcome to attend whether or not their loved one was cared for by Princess Alice Hospice.

Trained volunteers lead the sessions and offer a chance to talk with others who have also experienced loss. While grief is personal, many people find comfort in speaking with others who understand what they are going through.

The group meets monthly at the Coffee Lounge in St John the Baptist Church, Old Malden. Refreshments are available.

ST JOHN'S TODDLER GROUP

Every Tuesday's and Thursday's 9.30am to 11.15pm in the coffee lounge

We’re delighted to welcome little ones and their grown-ups to our friendly church toddler group!

Join us for a relaxed time of fun and friendship, with craft activities, rhyme time, stories and action songs linked to the season and plenty of toys .

Grown-ups can also enjoy tea or coffee and a friendly chat , making it a lovely space for everyone.

For everyone’s safety and comfort, spaces are limited (maximum of 18 children with carer in each session) , so please make sure to contact Jo Hill via 07719489742, our group leader, in advance to secure your place .

There is a small donation fee £2 in cash , which goes towards church funds and helps us continue running the group and providing activities.
