Volunteers will be required to welcome visitors to the church. If you are able to help during any of the times listed above please fill in the rota in the coffee lounge (which will be available end of August) or contact Pat Lovegrove patlovegrove4@gmail.com.
You do not need to have any local history or architectural knowledge just be welcoming and friendly.
Visitors to our Heritage Open Days will be able to view the church architecture, old maps and a history time line telling the centuries long story of St. John’s and Maeldune village from Early Iron Age to present time.
Refreshments will be available throughout the four days. HODs continue to celebrate all aspects of local heritage, with hundreds of events taking place locally and nationally - all of them free. For details of participating venues go to www.heritageopendays.org.uk or https://www.heritageopendays.org.uk/submission-event/the-parish-church-of-st-john-the-baptist-old-malden.html.
