Life Events at St John’s
At St John’s, we are here to support people at every stage of life.
We offer baptisms, weddings, blessings and funerals, providing a welcoming and prayerful setting for moments of joy, commitment, thanksgiving and remembrance.
Whether you are celebrating new life, marking a special relationship, seeking God’s blessing, or saying goodbye to a loved one, our clergy will work with you sensitively and pastorally to create a service that is meaningful and appropriate.
If you would like to discuss any of these services, please contact the parish office or speak to a member of the clergy.

FAQs on Baptisms & Weddings
What documents are required to schedule a baptism or wedding?
For baptisms, a birth certificate and completed registration form are needed. Weddings require proof of baptism, confirmation, and a marriage license. Additional documents may be requested based on individual circumstances.
How far in advance should I book my baptism or wedding?
We recommend booking at least three months ahead to secure your preferred date and allow time for preparation and meetings with clergy.
Are there any seasonal considerations for scheduling ceremonies?
Certain times of the year, such as major religious holidays, may have limited availability. Early spring and autumn often offer more flexible scheduling options.
What preparation is required before the ceremony?
Couples and parents are invited to attend preparation sessions with clergy to discuss the ceremony, vows, and any questions. Documentation must be submitted beforehand.
